Lilaeopsis novae-zealandiae grows to a height of 6-12cm and a width of 5-+cm and comes (as the name indicates) from New Zealand, it has characteristic, completely circular leaves. There is some confusion about its name and it has been sold as Lilaeopsis brasiliensis which is a South American species. The plant will probably be given a third name Lilaeopsis ruthiana.
