Ludwigia helminthorrhiza grows to a height of 2-4cm and a width of 5-+cm and this floating plant is characterised by its distinctive aerial roots and strong root network, which provide a good hiding-place for young fish. It can be planted at the bottom but will immediately grow towards the light and the surface.
