Ludwigia helminthorrhiza
Ludwigia helminthorrhiza grows to a height of 2-4cm and a width of 5-+cm and this floating plant is characterised by its distinctive aerial roots and strong root network, which provide a good hiding-place for young fish. It can be planted at the bottom but will immediately grow towards the light and the surface. Ludwigia helminthorrhiza demands a lot of light and when light is very good the leaves are rounder and the colour reddish. A very decorative plant in open aquariums and is also suitable for garden ponds in the summer.
