Vallisneria americana var. biwaensis grows to a height of 20-80cm and a width of 5-15cm and is a graceful variety of Vallisneria americana. It has beautiful twisted leaves but it needs more light than the other Vallisneria species. Other twisted Vallisneria are cultivated, so not all twisted Vallisneria are americana var. biwaensis.
