PROFILE
This store is on the outskirts of the town between St Helens and Wigan and is located just off the M6. They are easy to find and you will be able to park without a problem. Opening hours for dry goods is slightly different than for buying livestock. Normal hours are 9 – 5.30pm Monday to Saturday and 10 – 4pm on Sundays. However, to buy livestock visit between 10 – 5pm or 10.30 – 3.30pm on Sundays.
You will find a large selection of fancy coldwater fish, as well as tropical fish and Lake Malawi Cichlids. A small selection of Koi is also held in stock. On the dry goods side, all major brands are held including sera and a large selection of Aquarium Pharmaceuticals (API). They have set up a laptop testing area in their store. Here customers can view information on the Internet and see the results of their Aquatest water tests.
Karon Speight has been in the aquatic business for 15 years and is helped by her manageress, Michelle. With a predominance of women in charge, it is not surprising that this store is very smart, well laid out, clean and tidy!
