The Correct Fertilisation for Healthy Plant Growth.

By conditioning the gravel substrate with ‘Sera Floredepot’, you will create the exact requirements for rapid and healthy plant growth. After 4 – 6 weeks, you should start regular fertilisation. The well-balanced sera fertilisation system makes successful plant care so easy.

Some plants (e.g. Cabomba) consume nutrients mainly with their leaves, ‘Sera Florena’ fertilises these plants. After an hour, check the iron content of the water by means of the ‘Sera Iron-Test’. The optimum value is 1mg. per litre. After regular monitoring, you will find out the correct balance for your aquarium. The actual demand of course, depends on the species and the number of the plants. Therefore the instructions and data on the product package represent only an approximate value.

Other plants, such as Anubias and Cryptocoryne species, consume the nutrients mainly with their roots, ‘SeraFlorenette A’ ideally cares for these plants. ‘Sera Florenette A’ releases nutrients, correctly dosed, over a prolonged period.

The gravel.

Literally, the gravel forms the basis for successful care of fish and plants. It offers the useful bacteria that break down pollutants plenty of space to colonise. Furthermore it provides support for the plants.

To offer your aquarium plants ideal starting conditions, we recommend the use of ‘SeraForedepot’, a long-term gravel substrate.

‘Sera Floredepot’ contains essential nutrients, valuable humic acids and trace elements. It provides all the needs of the plants for strong roots and lush green foliage during the initial growing phase (4 – 6 weeks). ‘Sera Floredepot’ is free of phosphate and nitrate. The 2.4kg (5.3lb) bucket is sufficient for a 60 litre (16 gal) aquarium, the 4.7 kg (10.4lb) bucket is sufficient for a 100 litre (26 gal) aquarium. Distribute ‘Sera Floredepot’ on the base of your aquarium where you wish to plant.
