THE FISH
Green Terror
Aequidens rivulatus
| HABITS |
|
These fish have earned a reputation for being extremely mean, and often end up in an aquarium on their own. They do occasionally mix well with other tough fish in large aquariums where territories are less of a problem. But be warned, they do not always get along. On the other hand, they have a sort of 'Dirty Harry' characterization that many people enjoy, and with their fantastic colouring, do end up as the family pet. Although they are tolerant of water quality, keep in mind that good food and good water will reward you with with a buddy that will live a long, healthy life.

As with many of their family, Green Terrors breed as substrate spawners. Getting two fish to become a pair is the difficult bit, but if they do and you are lucky, the normal Cichild routine follows.
