| HABITS |
This is one nasty fish, thus it was named after a boxer. It should only be kept with other similar sized Ciclids, preferably in a larger aquarium. It is an easy fish to keep and to breed. The ones for sale are usually commercially bred.

| BREEDING |
These Cichlids lay their eggs in open situations and guard the eggs and fry very conscientiously. They breed regularly throughout the year and lay about 500 eggs at a time. The male may become extremely aggressive during the pre-spawning ritual and injure the unwilling female.
