This fish is really not an option for the home aquarium unless you want to have a tank that takes up half your house. It would not be fair to keep this fish in a regular sized aquarium, so leave this one to the public aquariums and the zoos. It is an impressive fish in that it goes through a dramatic colour change from juvenile to adult and eats an exorbitant amount of food. Amazingly, it is fussy on water conditions too, so if you have been tempted to raise this fish, then take care when changing water and keep the quality favorable at all times. You should find using ‘Aquatest’ will help keep the water at its optimum best.
