Although the Glowlight Tetra plays second fiddle to the Neon Tetra, it is just as pleasurable to keep. As with many tetras, it shows its true beauty in soft acidic water having a good covering of plants to the rear of the aquarium.

These fish grow to around 1.5 inches.

|
You will definately need soft acidic water in which to breed these fish. They lay their eggs in feathery plants. The parents will eat the spawn, so it would be wise to remove the parents. The eggs hatch in around a day.
