Although it is not a commonly seen Peckoltia, the P. angelicus is a good choice for a community aquarium as it does not grow too large and does a good job of cleaning algae for you. It is a little shy so it should not be put in an aquarium with really bright lights but should be given some cover, such as bog wood, rocks and some strong plants.
