P. oligospila (L006)

P. oligospila (L006) - Photo
Peckoltia oligospila
HABITS The Peckoltia are a really nice suckermouth catfish to keep, especially since they don’t grow large like some of their suckermouth relatives. They mix very well with most other fish although they can be just a little territorial towards each other. They are somewhat shy when you first get them into your aquarium and prefer a half-light situation and some cover, such as bogwood with lots of hiding holes. Given time you can tame these fascinating fish well, which as with most creatures, you do by tempting them with the very best food, see sera recommendations below.
SIZE These fish grow to around 8 to 10 cm.
