HABITS This is a peaceful community fish that will fit in with other peaceful fish. It prefers some plant cover in the aquarium and tolerates a wide range of water conditions. It is one of the best Dwarf Cichlids available for a small-fish community aquarium.
SIZE Males can grow to 8 cm, while the females only grow to 6 cm.

SEXING When young, both sexes look very similar. As they mature, the males become larger, have deeper bodies, and larger, more pointed find than the females.
BREEDING These fish are open spawners and will lay their eggs on flat stones or plant leaves. Both sexes take care of the young and generally make good parents.
