THE FISH
Rummy-Nose Tetra
Hemigrammus rhodostomus
| HABITS |
|
This is one of the most striking of all the Tetras. When kept in soft acidic water, it will show off the reddest of noses, from whence it derives its name. Since it is susceptible to changes in water conditions, it is delicate to move around. Once it is established though, it will parade up and down the middle of your aquarium showing off its fantastic colours. A good mixer, this fish makes an ideal community fish.
