HABITS These fish are calm and peaceful but should not be kept with small fish that might be regarded as food. They require LARGE aquariums due to their size. Plenty of appropriately sized caves should be provided. These are spectacular and charming fish for larger aquariums.

SEXING The males grow a knobby lump on their heads, when they reach 6 to 7 inches long. Older females also grow a hump, but it is usually somewhat smaller. The males also have a longer and more pointed dorsal fin.
