Lamprologus brichardi
HABITS These are good fish for the beginning aquarist. It is recommended to keep them in rather large aquariums, with plenty of hideaways provided. The parents allow semi-adult juveniles to stay with them, in order to help guard their younger brothers and sisters!
SIZE These fish can grow to 4 inches.

SEXING The females' fins are not as well-developed as the males' fins.
BREEDING These fish breed in caves. The parents guard their offspring very carefully. These fish are very productive; so before purchasing them, make sure you know of people you can give young fish to. (Most keepers of Tanganyikan cichlids are no longer interested in the fish as there are just too many of them, they are 'too easy', and therefore, they are not much of a challenge.)
