The ‘Redfin’, another truly beautiful fish, is also special because it is not a giant suckermouth. Although a larger aquarium would be best, it would certainly grace the average setup. Coming from South America as it does, it does best in middle of the road to softer water; but otherwise, it is quite undemanding. Be sure to give it a nice bit of cover, as it enjoys an aquarium of bog wood and plants. The ideal situation would be to have bog wood with plants growing on the wood.
