Hypostomus sp. (L240)

Hypostomus sp.
HABITS Caught in the wilds of Latin America, this fish would grace any aquarium. The smaller the fish is, the larger its spots are. It is a very majestic fish to watch as it grows. You do need a large aquarium for a fully grown specimen, but by no means is this a giant. This fish lurks around the bottom of the aquarium and eats many types of algae, which is always a godsend to fish keepers. It enjoys good cover so be prepared not to see him for a while until he gets used to your feeding routine.
SIZE These fish grow to around 20 to 25 cm.
