This fish is peaceful but likes to dig under rocks.

|
Males can grow up to 8 cm and females to 6 cm.

| SEXING |
|
The male is larger, more slender, and has a broader forehead than the female. There is a silvery, gold-tinted stripe on the edge of his dorsal fin that ends in the point. On the upper part of the tail fin there are one to five round dark spots.

| BREEDING |
|
When first attempting to spawn a pair, it is best to keep them in separate tanks until the female becomes heavy with eggs. The best spawning site is a flowerpot, set upside down on the bottom of the tank.
