| HABITS |
This is another of those classic tropical fish recognised even by those who do not keep fish. This marbled variety, available in so many colour varieties, is as popular today as ever it has ever been. It is relatively easy to keep and mixes with fish of its own size. Do not be tempted to put small neons with big angels, as the angels will eat them. They enjoy deep well-planted aquariums and do well in groups, although you do get bullies that intimidate the others.

| BREEDING |
Angelfish are easy fish to breed. They prefer to spawn on broad-leafed water plants. Both parents will care for the eggs. The fry will hatch after 24 to 40 hours. The parents place the young in depressions in the bottom gravel for protection.
