THE FISH
Red Tailed Shark
Labeo bicolor
| HABITS |
|
This is a very popular fish. Just one look at these guys and you will want one in your aquarium. Their striking colour and shark-like shape make them a 'BUY ME' fish. Sadly though, there are drawbacks. These fish are very territorial and do not like others of their own kind unless you have a very large aquarium with lots of cover. You can keep more than two, but if you keep only two, one will always dominate the other. It is better to keep just one of these fish in your tank. In most cases, especially when they are small, they mix quite well with most other fish; it is when they grow that you have to watch out for them.
