Scarlet Plecostomus (L114)

Scarlet Plecostomus (L114) - Photo
Pseudacanthicus leopardus
HABITS This is truly a fish with 'WOW' power. It is so ugly that it is beautiful. Spiny, colourful and yet tamable, it shows its intelligence as it rolls it eyes at you to give you a wink. This fish will live with anything as it is peaceful with other species, but it can sometimes be quarrelsome with other plecostomus type catfish. Its only downfall is that it kicks up the gravel and arranges the aquarium just as he wants it to be; but you can just tell him off and put it all back until the next time he decides to rearrange it.
SIZE This fish grows to around 12 inches.
