PLANTS
Anubias barteri var. nana
Anubias barteri var. nana is a small, attractive plant which grows to a height of 5-15cm and a width of 8-+cm and it will thrive in all conditions. It grows slowly and the leaves survive for several years, this gives slow-growing algae the chance to become established. The best result can be achieved by planting on a stone or tree root. Fishing line can be used to attach the plant while it becomes rooted. If it is planted in the bottom the rhizome must not be covered because it has a tendency to rot. It flowers frequently under water and is not eaten by herbivorous fish. Some plants are sold under this name that are not Anubias barteri var. nana and do not remain small.
