Cryptocoryne albida is a plant that grows to a height of 10-30cm and a width of 12-20cm, it is available in two colour varieties – one light-green and the other red-brown with dark flecks on the leaves. Cryptocoryne albida needs slightly more light than other Cryptocoryne species and requires a very long period of acclimatisation before growth starts. However, it is then an easy plant to grow although a nutritious bottom promotes growth. For many years this plant has been called Cryptocoryne costata.
